Saturday 20th June 2026 – 2.30pm
The series begins in Italy, the birthplace of opera, with a sparkling programme featuring music by masters such as Giuseppe Verdi, Giacomo Puccini and Gioachino Rossini. Expect unforgettable melodies, powerful emotions and a perfect afternoon escape into the drama of Italian opera.
Saturday 3rd October 2026 – 2.30pm
The second voyage of the series is something of a ‘staycation’, exploring rich operatic music from the shores of the UK and Ireland. Featuring works by iconic composers such as Arthur Sullivan, Benjamin Britten, Henry Purcell and Charles Villiers Stanford, delight in an afternoon filled with wit, lyricism and dramatic storytelling.
Saturday 23rd January 2027 – 2.30pm
The third voyage of the series is the operatic powerhouse of Germany, whilst also meandering over the border to Austria, and featuring music by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Richard Wagner, Johann Strauss II and Richard Strauss. From sparkling comedy to sweeping drama, enjoy an afternoon celebrating some of the most famous and dynamic music in the operatic repertoire.
Saturday 24th April 2027 – 2.30pm
The fourth and last voyage of the series takes audiences to a country steeped in opera’s magnificent heritage, France. Featuring music by Georges Bizet, Claude Debussy, Charles Gounod and Léo Delibes, the finale captures the elegance, colour and unmistakable joie de vivre that makes French opera so captivating.
