We are a new cross-border opera company who will take exciting, international-quality performances of the world’s greatest operas to towns and cities around the nine counties of Ulster. We cast our shows from the best singers in Britain and Ireland, working with renowned conductors, designers and directors. Our shows will be presented in the finest theatres and concert halls across the historic province of Ulster, with our first full scale tour hitting the road in Autumn 2021.

And that’s not all: our mission is to bring opera right into people’s living rooms via Augmented Reality technology. Through the magical power of opera we will inspire audiences and artists of the future – by bringing opera home.

Coming Soon

Now audiences can be there as never before as Don Giovanni lives his final moments. Working with our partners Volograms and Sentireal, our Augmented Reality Opera project uses the latest technology to transform your home into the set of the opera – simply by using a smartphone or tablet.

Northern Irish bass Alan Ewing will sing the role of Commendatore, and will be joined by baritone Ross Ramgobin; they will work with our Artistic Director Dafydd Hall Williams to record and film in one of the world's few 3D studios, and virtual holograms (volograms) created. These volograms will let you become a character in the scene, moving around the performers and witnessing Don Giovanni’s final hair-raising moments. This research has been made possible through the generous support of the Arts Council of Northern Ireland, Future Screens NI and Digital Catapult.
